Our parents had it figured out. Wood-lined speakers, metal-laced amplifiers, 12-inch subwoofers; hi-fi equipment had pride of place in their living rooms. They sat still and listened to David Bowie and Miles Davis and spent hours deciphering Depeche Mode’s synthesizer runs.

At some point, something went wrong. We all bought a fist-sized Bluetooth speaker and called it a day. But listening to that drum drop in Phil Collins’ In The Air Tonight on a fabric-covered hockey puck is just not the same. Far from.

Stereotype hi-fi builds connected high-end speakers we'd want in our own living rooms. Our first product, the ST001 Bookshelf Stereo System, delivers flat DSP-corrected frequency response within ±2dB from 21Hz to 30kHz and is produced at a specialist hi-fi factory.
